Syncro high top?

Post by Trilobyte_simon »

Hi - need some opinions please.

I've got a syncro westfalia camper with a pop-top.

The canvas is rotten, i have a lack of storage space and 2 children.
Apart from aesthetics, is there any reason why i shouldn't fit a high top?

Does it affect the 4wd capabilities (not that i off-road it, but in the future i may want to sell it on)?

Thanks, Simon

If you look in the Campers section of the forum there is the definitive hightop vs poptop discussion.

I had a hightop syncro I have two children; I just went over to a poptop; we are going to have to learn to travel light ! Other than that there is nothing else I miss yet .

i dont miss getting blown around quite so much as i did in the hightop

There is no off-road issue other than not being able to get under obstacles as far as i can see.

Some prefer hightops for security reasons when camping.
