Early to late DG exhaust

Post by meggles »

I'm sure it's straight forward to do it but: Is there any actual advantage/disadvantage in changing my early exhaust for a later one? Forgetting costs etc, just thinking of any problems, difference in performance etc. Looked in WIKI but nothing mentioned there. I like the idea of the mod though :)

If you're going to do the lot, its a no-brainer - go stainless. Not much if anything in performance difference between early/late. If you just want more time from the silencer - do the mod.

Or, replace pipes with stainless as and when you have funds to do each bit and maybe fit a stainless bike can to save a few bob. I actually came up with the bike can mod out of desperation. Loads seem to have followed suit. Cheap to replace plus you can try different types.
