Thanks Mike, have used some old AQUAVAC hoover hoses in the end  8)

Noticed the body warms up , so will it harm the unit if it all gets stowed in an insulated housing?

dont think so , my propex(older red unit)is under the bed/seat and covered with a ply lid etc and this is insulated too, then the ducting goes to a Y piece and through the cuboards etc, not had any probs over 5 + years, duct gets luke warm at most
the vacv hose .im not sure about, try it and run it up and see. it will also depend on how close it is to the heater

I have some spare Propex duct hose in the garage if you need some.

My (red) Propex is also under the bed, surrounded by tat  - it has been fine for a year of use and does not seem to get more than "cup of tea" hot.

On Webastos I use hose rated at 150 degrees or above - I don't know what the heat output on Propexes is but I would still be wary of using anything less. By all means use it on the inlet size. I have melted various plastic items on the bench when they have been left near the outlets of Webastos being tested. Proper silicone ducting is cheap enough in the short lengths that are normally required and will form a tight 90 degree bend.

propex is supposed to have 25mm air gap around the outer case when installed
they aren't the quietest thing in the world but if you try to insulate them to deaden the sound you could end up cooking the internal circuit board - they are only cooled by the induction air being drawn in around the case

I went to Jacksons of Arley (big Caravan place). They had hose that matched, the right stuff, and it was cheap as chips. As said, it'll go where you want to put it. Try a caravan retailer.
