Driver Floor Rubber?

Post by bmouthboyo »

Evening All,

Can anyone advise is this dense rubber material standard on the driver floor area? I am not sure if I should tear it all up to check all is OK underneath. Is it standard or added to reduce noise etc?

I've got that checked stuff in mine too, driver side, under the rubber matting. Yours looks a bit crumbly. Think its for noise? Make sure its dry and cover it if the metals ok i guess

Thinks its a type of sound deadening material. The checks come from the underside of the rubber matting which over time presses into it.
