I'm no idiot but this has got me stumped!
My camer is an Autohomes conversion with a Zig CF8 unit fitted with an aux battery. The aux battery seems to only power the fridge. If I flick the 12v switch on the Zig the interior lights will work only if the charging switch is on touring. If I switch it to "on site" the lights go out and the battery condition light goes out. Is that right? Shouldn't my aux battery power the interior lights when the engine is not running so it does not run my main battery down!

No, it's fully charged but does not seem to power any lights. I have removed the Zig unit and none of the feeds seem to be from the aux battery.

have a look at this. All the touring switch does is connect the crank battery to the aux. Like a manual split charge. A fridge should not be run from the leisure battery unless the engine is running.

Thanks for the link but I have already looked at that and this is why I am confused. Terminal 4 should be connected to the positive terminal on the aux battery but its stays live even when I disconnect the aux battery. You are right about the fridge, the feed for 12v to the fridge is from the split charge relay.

The 12V switch puts power to the lights etc from both batteries in the car/charging position. Switching to the mains / on-site position isolates the starting battery from the 12v interior circuit. If you loose interior lights then your leisure battery isn't providing any power. Check the main fuse than lives under the seat. It's on the red lead in the photo below.
