auto homes poptop roof help

Post by boboro »

Recently accuired my first ever t25 the poptop is basically shot and was made of wood the gas springs have gone the sides seem to be in ok condition plan was to make up a new roof but with never seeing how one operates before. Im not sure how its meant to work. So do you just pop the latch and the springs send it up. Then you would have to pull it back down or are the springs there to just give you a hand raising it and lowering it. If it is to be pulled back down is is meant to have straps of some sort inside to pull on. Any info or pictures of a fully working poptop would be appriciated

Hi,

I also have an Authomes Kamper with a rather iffy poptop. I would be interested to have a link to your man in Dorset if possible...? I drove our new bus back to Norfolk from Dorset only last month but would do the trip again to get the poptop refurbed or replaced properly as I am struggling to find anyone in Norfolk to do it.

Thanks!
