Accelerator pedal sticky call international rescue !!

I have an accelerator pedal that sticks open and so feels and sounds like I constantly over revving engine. Did squirt lub at base. Made small difference but prob still there. Among the many brains on here would anybody have an idea to free it up.

had same problem with mine as well as many more probs,what i did was take out front indicator and had access to pedal mechanism then gave it a good wire brushing ,then a soakin in vw40 and a smear of grease now works perfectly.
