Idle stabalizing unit

Post by project25 »

Hi, This may sound strange but Ive had this vehicle for 2 years and still trying to get it on the road, tis sorn with no MOT. Anyway, Ive just discovered that I dont seem to have a idle stabilizing unit. Where it should be Autohomes put a black box with wires coming out of it (relay for leisure battery charging I found out today). I assumed it was the stabilizing unit. Do I need one? where? It probably is not the reason for bad start up on choke though, is it?

The idle stab normally lives beside the ignition unit in the engine bay.
