Hey everyone.
1600 ct engine in Doris...
I've wondered how you adjust the idle speed? In particular when the engine is warm.
When cold, I can tell the choke kicks in after a few moments, after a little run the idle drops down to a nice tick over. I assume its the choke doing this anyway!
I've only done a few longer runs thus far, but occasionally with the engine properly warmed up, the tick over speed feels too low when coming off the throttle. At a zebra crossing it caught me out and the engine died. It fired up again just fine after, and once I'd pulled up at home I left her running and again the tick over was perfect.
Does something need adjusting, or do I have something occasionally sticking in the throttle assembly? The throttle pedal itself doesn't feel as free as I think it should, so maybe an overhaul of the cable etc is needed too.
Cheers in advance!
