Ok, I had another thread open about my boost pipe coming off but things have changed so thought I'd open a new one and try to steal your knowledge.
Originally the pipe from the turbo to the inlet was blowing off. This, I now know, is due to wrong pipe set up. On the way home today the boost pipe came off and by the time I could stop all I could smell was burning oil. Stopped and I had an instant pool under the car. Oil was everywhere so couldn't really see where oil was coming from. I believe it was from the pipe that had popped off. I have ordered the brickwerk boost pipe but my concern is why is this oil here. Is my turbo caput? Any tests can do once new pipe is fitted?
I forgot to say it's a 1.6td. I was led to believe it was a standard jx. Find out if this boost pipe fits.
Cheers,
Ben

Just to add I'm in no hurry as van is not my daily driver but I am off work all this week. Seems a good time to do what I can.

Pull off the pipe that comes from the air cleaner to the turbo [pull that pipe off the turbo]and give the compressor a wiggle, also check for oil in the compressor housing.
I dont think, so I'm not[do I exist?]
