Tachometer
Hi, A quick ask, about what type and where can I buy a tachometer for various setting up tasks. Ive bought one from Machine Mart, but when reading instructions said for use with conventional plugs and points not on electronic ignitions

The voltages on the input to a coil using electronic ignition are considerably higher than the 12 volts of a points system. This may damage the your tacho.

Re: Tachometer
These are very good and very accurate.

Nothing to do with the voltages, As electronic ignition has variable dwell cheap meters don't have a fast enough sampling rate to catch the short dwell times at low engine speeds giving a miss reading.
