Hello All,
Our van is in for all the usual repairs (fortunately she was in good nick) and respray. I obviously want to replace all the window seals with original rubber. As the van is a caravelle all the windows are factory fit.
We are not interested in replacing the original chrome seal inserts as the chrome won't quite go with the van's new style so I intend to replace them for standard seals without the spreader strip.
My questions is what is the difference between the two sets of seals on Gunzl without trim. i.e. these two
-7/84 and 8/84-
And also is it okay to buy a full set like this from one supplier? I know MM has had a few issues recently

gunzls are a good firm and respond to queries quickly, i would send them an email and confirm exactly which seals are pattern and which are VW genuine, often the word 'german quality' is spoken off, this means pattern/zilch ,might as well say indian quality,

I've just bought the whole set from vwemporium includes all possible window rubbers, felt channels that cab door class sits and a set of J bars. Haven't opened the box yet as I sent it directly to my mates garage:)

Cheers All,
I have enquired with Gunzl and they have confirmed they are original VW seals - Set purchased! Done.
Actually on that note when I used their website it didn't ask me for payment details
Does anyone know if I need to get in touch with them to pay?

They give the measurements for the sliding door's double-glazed windows.

Thanks all.
I ordered a set from gunzl and they have arrived! They seem nice and supple. I was, assured by them that they are original vw, but they dont have any markings or come in marked bags or anything, just rubbers in a box, so fingers crossed they are okay.
