Just noticed a very slight wet patch about 4" from side of skylight.
Question, should I
1 - Strip all the sealant from each side of the skylight then re-do ?
or
2 - Lump another of sealant on top ?
I can see the advantage of option 2, it's quicker and possibly saves damaging any good areas.
Any thoughts ?

Re: Leaky Skylight
Honest answer?
You will be unlikely to stop it by piling more sealant on, as water tends to travel by capillary action
Try it once you maybe lucky, but in my experience its often quicker to take it all off and start again with clean flat surfaces and good flexible sealant

Strip all the sealant off and redo otherwise you'll end up doing it again
