we have a t 25 Syncro 1986 Digijet petrol 2.1 litre
Just came back tonights and the dipped beam stopped working so only had side lights but had the main switch in the full on position for lights
The main beam would work but only by pulling back on the dip switch as if the lights were not on at all.
This meant I had to drive back in the dark with either just the sides working or holding back on the stalk to give main beam. Other drivers were not happy.
Any way I think it might be the dip relay but cant remember wher it is not on the main fuse block but there are two highr up any one know which one?
Cant find a rference to it in either haynes or Bently
can anyone help

earth fault Kevin, you'll need to pull off all the spades from the crowns and give them a good dose of contact cleaner, one of them is twinned for the lights and is acting as path of least resistance so the flow goes through the main beam led
give the light switch and connector a good dose of contact cleaner too

Re: headlamp dip stopped working t25 syncro 1986
I had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago and for me it was the rocker switch.
Tested it before ordering one by pulling the switch from its connector block and shorting (with a fused wire) across the live feed (think it was red/yellow) on the connector block to the headlamp wire (in the connector block). If its the switch the headlamp should come on. The main beam flasher btw bypasses the rocker switch so that the flasher can work with lights off.
