Nope, not me :)

Probably not a bad "project" but fridge panel and all seams down that side are shot and with a duff WBX as well guess it has been standing outside for a while.

Strange to get so many bids in the first few hours of a 10 days listing - and I do hate those private listings as well.

Still, will watch it and see what it brings (ignoring the "£1500" plate - not the sort of money I would pay for a plate ending VW for sure :D )

Terrible selection of pictures, most are from similar angles and not enough views of the rest of the van.

Even less reason to spend £1500 on the reg then :)

So whats the going rate for a scrapper syncro then, if you were breaking it for parts?

Not looking for parts (yet) - still looking for a whole one :)

Just wondered what scappers fetched by comparison.

Cheers,

Apparently could of been off the road since 2000!! Mechanicals will be shagged surely?
Also it is actually someone else's bus that was left with the guy now selling it. He applied for a V5 last year and is now selling it!
Not legally his to sell though is it? Having a V5 makes you registered keeper but not owner?

Where would you stand if legal owner suddenly appeared?

I wonder what the law is re if someone leaves summat with you, perhaps for years. At some point "it" (whatever it is) must be considered yours ?

I have a (modest) laptop that a customer left with me about 4 years ago. The mobile number he gave me no longer works and I have no address (and the computer did have a dead hard drive, so no clues there). At what point is it mine ? (if ever ?)

The V5 does not show ownership, just who is responsible for taxing... but, what other document could someone produce other than the V5 to claim ownership? Surely the DVLA did something prior to issuing this guyis with a V5 in a new name???

All the DVLA do is send out a letter stating someone is applying for a V5 reference said vehicle as far as i know. Obviously they send it to the address they have on the old V5, which the legal owner could well of moved from.

Very grey area this, as V5 and DVLA state that the reg document is not proof of ownership!
