Will this fit?

Post by tforturton »

I've been looking for a Reimo turret top (or similar) for a while, to fit to my Syncro Caravelle, and I've come across this one, which looks pretty tidy, and it expires later on today.

Only thing is, the sizes seem a little too big for a T25 roof, or am I wrong? I thought they were squarer than this, more 48 ins x 50, than the 51 x 61 shown here. The vernsor says it's a universal size, and it will fit.
Anyone know about these things? Don't want to buy it, drive all the way there to collect it, and then find it's too big.

as long as it fits between the bulges in the roof or is longer than the gap between plus one bulge and a bit then it should be possible to make it fit ok, the curvature of the roof may be different but you should be able to adjust that to suit our roof by removing the rubber seal and shaping the fibreglass and refit the rubber seal as long as you have enough space for the hinges between the steel and the fibreglass
If you are desperate for it then get the guys contact details, and go and have a look at it with your van, offer it up and if you are happy it will work do the deal off ebay with folding, chances are it won't sell today unless you buy it, but if then it doesn't work you'll have to sell it on
communicate with the vendor would be my advice

I decided to check on Ebay Germany to see if I could find one, and then compare the dimensions. See this link...

Those measurements work out at 51ins x 61 ins, which is the same as the one for sale in Staffordshire. Looks like it will fit.
