petrol dg engine with auto box

hi everyone finally an engine has come up localy and the guy said its a 1.9 petrol dg engine with auto gearbox.with mine being a 1.9 dg manual gearbox does this make any difference as i only need the engine and will this bolt straight on to my manual gearbox or will i need anything else for this to fit,cheers dave

You'll need to swap the flywheel/crutch off the manual to the auto engine of course and fit a spigot bearing in the end of the crankshaft because there won't be one in there. Fit a new starter bush while the engine's out plus numerous other small jobs.

Check your engine mounts too and the nose mount ... all much easier to do with the engine (and box ?) out.

And you need to check and set the end float of the crank if you are swapping the flex plate for a flywheel, if its less than 0.1mm it will cause damage to the thrust when its hot, no more than 0.15mm, there are a set of shims to adjust this behind the main oil seal.
