The Arctic cooler is a little more powerful than the one you initially chose but to be honest, it's there to do a job so needs reasonable airflow to give you the required performance.
This will be barely audible and whisper quiet compared to the original combine harvester....

This is the guy we got 220v + 12v elements from last year - very helpful. Both were brand new and bagged up.

A quick and probably stupid question, on the three pin fan I have red ,yellow and black wires, I take that the yellow is the speed sensor or tacho so not needed.
so which wires do the black (ground) and red( +12v] connect to? the yellow from the thremo switch and the blue?
Paul

Three and even four wires are common now..the yellow wire being the rpm speed sensing wire when connected to a motherboard.
Just cut out the yellow wire flush with the fan..
Red..+12volts..this wire goes to your thermo switch (screwed to the top fins) live feed (yellow) did you say?
Black..ground neg to the blue

I know some who have done this mod (including myself) have fitted an overide switch to the front panel. The idea being, when hot you can put the fan on permanently. Just don't forget to turn it off after you get home.
At less than 1.5 watts it's not going to be an issue unless it's left on for 4-5 days without starting or hookup.
