sliding door handle broke : (

So, my sliding door handle broke, new replacement are bloody expensive :shock: . Can i get a second hand one and replace the lock mechanism with my current one? its te old version, t25 westfalia 1979.

Join the club, Im on my third handle lol.

Yes, you can remove the tumbler, and replace. Search some of my threads for help as I recall some handy tips being posted within. These helped me change mine.

£60 is a tad expensive (but chicken feed compared to the cost of keeping these vans on the raod) but then again if they are the only aftermarket company making them then that's how much they are. VW will have been cheaper because they made 1000's

At least you will know there's no hairline crack in it ready to snap again.

Mine broke a few weeks back and I managed to repair it and it still looks ok if you want( I know this post is a few weeks old) I could put up some details of how I did it.
