Paint supplies

Post by The Bishop »

My van is a non standard colour and I need to touch it up in places to keep the rot at bay.

I was hoping I could pop to a paint supplier and they could match it up. The first one I phoned wanted to ensure I have a proper paint shop and breathing aparatus. Is this a problem I am going to come up against? Is paint not readily available any longer?

Thanks,

Bish,

What paint do you need? If it's cellulose, Movac in Portman Rd can make you some up. THey will have a colour chart to match it.

Watch out though, I've bought paint from them and it's been stale and came out of tghe tin like silly string. That said, if you are having it made to order, all should be good.

The other paint supplier I've used locally (Norwich) is Wilco, who do the same, but are a touch dearer.

Fazzer,

Aren't Jawel by the Arbitorium?

Bit of a long drive for us carrot crunchers.

I used to drive past that neck of the woods twice a week, but my my Doris moved here with me...... :ok

£12 is going rate, and Jawel are very good. But to be honest, are not worth the drag across the fens and up the M6 for mate :D :D :D :D
