hi ive got a 1984 vwt25 the other day i lost all power to the engine the starter motor was inactive so i replaced it but it still woudlnt turn over i put thewindscreen wipers on but they were very slow. could this be a bad earth or a relay issue . a few weeks prior to that the internal electrics went funny the power sockets would not work and the fridge died.
ive only had the van for a year and a am a bit of a novice so any advice would be appreciated

I'd check the battery first, make sure it's charged and giving out good power - check the output with a volt meter
Then check your connectors are all tight
You may have something draining the battery when its standing - I know if I leave mine for a couple of weeks the stereo can drain the battery
