One or Two Propex outlets?

Post by centro »

I assume that 2 outlets means the heat is split from the unit into two, thus spreading the heat output between the two?

What advantage – if any – is there in doing this?

Only one is a hot air outlet. The other is the recirculation inlet that draws in the air that is heated and blown out the outlet.

So what do people mean when they ask me 'how many outlets, 1 or 2?' when getting quotes to fit Propex?

I assume they tee off the outlet to heat two separate areas?

IIRC, you can split the outlet with a plastic y-piece, giving you two outlets. Would have thought you would only need that on a bigger van though.

Thats what I thought. One outlet should be plenty to heat a T25 shouldnt it?

I'd quite like a remote start for my eber dl2, the dressing gown dash to turn it on the other morning is not something I would like to repeat

At the moment i only have this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/EBERSPACHER-D ... 1c2592607b" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I could possibly interrupt the switched supply to the heater from the stat with that remote garage opener, but then i would always have to use the remote. But that could work ok...
Otherwise i'd have to buy the timer to use in conjunction with the stat and wire it up how you did.
Looks like the yellow wire is the switched live

Debatable, i have the propex under the r & r seat and an outlet Y fitted, there is a closable facia mount on the kickboard and the other line runs up to a high level and has the same facia outlet, a few reasons for this,
1 when we have the mutt on the floor I donbt want hot air blowing on him plus he would block the outlet, so we use the high level one.
also at night we close the lower one and the warm air emits from the upper ,

can find picks if yopur really that interested :rofl
