VW Parts Info

Post by Ian_Fearn »

I need to order the metal water pipes for the Syncro.

The ETKA software gives 2 options.

Its a 1985 1915cc Waterboxer.

The options are:

DG, SP

OR

DG,MV,DJ,SP,SR,SS

Any idea which one i've got?

The part numbers for the pipes are the same EXCEPT for either an 'L' at the end or a 'J'

They change on model year, i son't know the difference between the parts. On the seventeen digit chassis, the 10th letter indentifies year, if its an F its a 1985 model and requires the pipes ending J. If the 10th letter is G its an 1986 model and needs the L pipes.
