Gearbox Cradle

Post by rollercoaster »

On offer:
Carefully balanced box that bolts to the underside of the gearbox of a syncro,
trolley jack can slide inside and lift and slide into place. :D
Its very sturdily made..
Useful in that it drops to the floor as a stable stand for the box again,
as you may find it doesnt go in first time
Of course I may get another syncro and change another gearbox..
but I would hope its been used a few times by then,
and I would ask on here to see where its got to

Its well made:

A hot tip from me,
its probably a good idea to use it when removing the gearbox!
I made it for putting it back in.
It was easy to make with the gearbox on the ground,
measuring the jack and looking for the balance point.
Not so easy to make before, and the gearbox is quite a lump to drop
