when I lived in Germany I asked how to say "I'm only looking" for use in shops. The phrase I was taught certainly worked. It was only as I learnt a bit more that I realised I was probably saying "I'm only cake". Must give it a try in half wits sometime.

It doesn't matter HOW many times I see that phrase 'Half Wits' it still makes me laugh out loud. Never was a more accurate phrase given for the kind of knowledge one can expect from Halfwits - sorry I mean Halfords.
There is almost NOTHING in there that you'd want to put in your bus for starters. You daren't even MENTION plugs or leads cos you KNOW they'll be ten times what they are at GSF - if they've even got them. Only a few of their bulbs will fit. They MIGHT have a fan belt if you can be bothered to flick through that silly flip-over chart thing at which point you're bored and its either go look at the air fresheners or hang around the bicycles.
Incidentally I changed all my dash bulbs for LEDs - even the high beam light (which on most T25s is actually a bulb cos blue LEDs didn't exist then). I also added in a yellow LED to indicate that my side & headlights were on. I just soldered LEds to the original bulb holders (with suitable resistor.
I did make ONE mistake though. YOU try finding a blue LED that doesn't blind you (you have to paint them with black paint first). Looks cool when your face lights up blue in the dark though. Also worth noting that if you swap the interior festoon lights for LEDs, they draw so little current it doesn't trigger alarms that work by voltage drop so you have to add a resitor or normal bulb in the circuit somewhere.

You can of course get LEDs with built in resistors. Why is the resistor necessary though? I never got that part. Remember also when putting in LEDs, they are polarised so will only work when theyre in the right way. So has anyone tried putting those really bright blue LEDs in for the instrument illumination? I quite like that idea.
