intermitant squeek

Post by stevo1980 »

Hi i have an intermitant squeek i think is coming from the back wheels only can notice it when going slow, goes when i press the brake. Is this my rear shoes binding on the drum. Could my drums have got distorted and is it time for new ones.

steve whats probably happening is the brakes have been adjusted up correctly with the wheels of the floor but due to your worn bearings soon as the weight of the vehicle is put on the bearings they are probably rubbing does the rear brake drum get hot after a ride , how long ago was the rear brakes cleaned out ,

Ha!
I have the exact same problem.
My brakes were serviced about a year ago, but I have the same annoying squeak especially at low speeds.
So is the solution to replace the bearings?
