Split charging system
I've just purchased a 1981 Westfalia Joker and I was wondering are they supposed to have a split charge system like a Zig unit? Mine has 2 batteries on it, but I can't find any sort of Zig type charging unit anywhere, unless it's under the drivers seat. I cant get in there though, as I can't get the seat out of the way to lift up the battery flap. The electrics for the tap and water levels check don't seem to be working.

Yeah, it's got an electric hookup, but I also have a Fiat 900e camper and that has a Zig unit, and that charges up when the engine is running, as well as on hook up. I was just wondering if it was a hidden item that automatically charges up a leisure battery, or if it just doesn't have one?
Strange!

zigs
And some very simple Zigs have nothing to do with the charging and are merely a fuse and distribution board with a couple of battery condition LEDs or a meter.
