I'm going to change it this weekend, is there anything I should look out for, or change at the same time, and do they snap often?

Snapped anti roll bar straight link.
So my Westy has been making a clunking noise every now and then under the right front wheel, I peered under there today and the anti roll bar straight link on the right side has snapped!!

Mine also broke a while ago. Luckily for me the rubber bushes and the washers were still stuck to the swing arm.
As I am tight and did not want to spend the money on a new link bar, I cleaned up the end where the thread had broken off and drilled and tapped it it to M12 and fitted a bolt and spacer tube at the grand cost to me of zero pounds.
