Tap microswitch

Barely more than a year after buying a complete new tap from Gunzl, the microswitch seems to have died completely, and the knob's cracked and falling off...

Whilst I wait for them to see if they can supply just those bits, rather than another complete new tap, has anybody got a likely source for a microswitch that'll fit? Two plumber's merchants this morning have drawn utter blanks. It seems these things are nowhere near as standard as they could be... Of course.

Maplins for definate...and the tap I bought from Gunzl leaked like a sive along the plastic seam, so I prized it apart and superglued it. Now the water comes out the end as it should. Although these are supposed to be genuine the quality is very poor.
Just be aware that a leaking tap (from either the sink to tap hole or the water pipe uninion) will run onto the micro switch basically saturating and corroding it.

I have a beige/pale brown collapsible tap whose microswitch failed so I removed it and we just use a water canister now.....Lorraine doesn't like the thought of using the plastic pipes that come from the water tank in the back of the van and has said I needn't replace the tap or the pipes as she prefers the way things are now. So if my old tap is the correct colour you are welcome to it.

Yes, I suspect that's been the issue here - the connectors on the microswitch unit are a bit manky looking. I've had to tighten the sink-to-tap a few times. No sign of moisture in the cupboard, though, and no tell-tales on the tap shaft itself.

Nevill - we've got the pale grey/white interior - and it's our microswitch that's died, too. So, thanks but no thanks.

As a stop-gap, I'll shove an external switch back in.

Took it in to a Maplin yesterday - nothing even close, either in the catalogue or on the shelf. The key is the pivot point that's needed to fit it and adjust it.

The valve body is marked "Kama WV123" - the only google result is a German LT forum thread...
