
Now it is giving me the oil light flashing and buzzer of Doom shortly after start up.
I've checked the oil pressure switches and the .4 bar under the push rod cover is working OK but the.9 bar switch is not. I have a new one to replace it as soon as it stops pissing down outside.
Before the oil and filter change was done there was never any issue with this dreaded buzzer and flashing oil light.
At first I thought it may be air locked at the filter.......NOPE plenty of oil pressure pissing out when I slackened the oil filter to check the oil was getting through.
Oil pressure switches one out of the 2 working which is how it has been operating fine up to now even with chaffed and rotten cables.
So replaced the grubby cables. 0.4 bar switch connected to yellow on main harness and 0.9 connected to the blue on main harness.
NO joy with that little tidy up as the oil light just kept flashing.
Now the buzzer has joined in this little game even though I have everything renewed and I THINK in the right order.
Disconnected the oil sensor wires altogether and still the same from start up. Oil light on, engine starts and runs, buzzer follows 30 seconds later?
So my next step is removing the oil pressure switches and putting on a oil pressure gauge to check the oil pressure before any damage results to the engine.
I've got the feeling that this is just a wiring issue as the engine has never given ant problems after oil changes before and runs as quite and sweet as they come with really clean and low emissions showing at the MOT station today.
Any of your thoughts or findings on this Buzzer of Doom would be welcome.........
