Mefro steel wheels

Post by Simon Baxter »

Just to let you know our order is in for Mefro steel wheels.
Both 15" and 16" to be carried on the shelf.
It will be November before we receive the pallets as they are waiting for the 16" rims.
As you probably know we already stock the correct radius nuts for the wheels and we also have full tyre fitting and balancing equipment if anyone needs tyres.
Prices, sensible, comparable if not a bit cheaper than buying from Europe and NOT Heritage prices!

See!
I think they are going to be about £55 each inc. VAT.
Subject to change, obviously.

You may have left it a bit late for the dampers.
Just had word back that there is no more 16" rear dampers.
Limited fronts available.
Unlucky.
We asked and there were no plans to make any more either.

Simon, do you know the push/pull resistances and the min/max lengths of the 16" shocks? Or even an idea where to look for the data?

There is one damper left.
I have ordered it for that very reason.

Tried to order 14" dampers today.
Not hearing good noises about those either, from what I can gather and if supplier is to be believed then they are also to be discontinued.
I hope not! We sell loads and that will be a right royal pain.
Trialmaster may be the best option after that.

I'm looking at the trailmasters, don't quite get the rear only option for heavy duty/sport?
