Un-level T25 Camper

Post by Jeff J »

Sorry, yet another question, not long been an owner & am trying to rectify faults/restore the camper. I have noticed that mine, 1985 high top Auto Sleeper 1.9 Water Cooled does not seem to sit level & the front end sits very high compared to pics of others I have seen. I was told when I bought it that the springs had been replaced shortly before & they do indeed look new. However because of the it's not level I'm wondering if the springs may have been fitted the wrong way round ie front/back or the wrong springs fitted. Are there any set dimensions for wheel arch clearance or height from the ground. Can anyone tell me how I can check or prove my theory. Thanks

Was it new springs all round, or just at the front...?

Dimensions will be pointless ... how many tins of food do you have in the cupboards ? Petrol in the tank ? Water ? See what I mean.

There are different front & rear springs (Caravelle,Bus,Transporter etc) and possibly someone's just stuck a pair on without checking they were right. There's a colour-code section on springs over on the Brickyard

Thanks to all, Kemlo it was new springs all round & it looks like I should have the ones with a brown marking on them, or at least the same identifier on the front & the back. I'll check today.
Will it do any harm if I leave it as is?
