Diesel engine block code query.

Hello all

Could any one throw any light on this for me, i have on my hands a van which is supposed to be a 1.6TD JX but the engine block has no oil squirters or any signs of them ever being there.

This is the code stamped on the actual block CR 541 300.

I've googled it but can't seem to find anything, i'm pretty certain it's not the turbo bock any help would be appreciated.

Hi Barry all good here, hope you are too, thanks very much for that the case is solved! Now then, what to put in next....

Just spotted a 1.6 td over here in Finland with a bust engine, the guy binned the old engine got another one for it but has given up the project so it comes with engine on a pallet with turbo and all the bits.
He wants 500 euros for it, i know its risky but it could be a good place to start the rebuild plus i need a new tailgate as mine is very rotten and his van is the same two tone blues as mine, i reckon i could get a few hundred euros back on parts or indeed keep the lot and have for a parts donor for mine if i ever need anything.
I'm gonna have a look at the weekend.

I saw a complete jx engine covered in crap no milage etc for 475euros!!!
So a complete van for 500euros is a better bet.
