The next long term project.

Right a long story short,
I had contact from Mark off of this very forum a while ago about doing some work to his van. One thing led to another and due to distance and cost it didn't come off. So skip forward a bit and he decided to scrap/us as a donor his original van and got a new one. It needed work and he had a chap help him out. As far as I know the roof was beyond repair so he still had his original van and decided to use the roof off that one. So called chap started the work but then couldn't finish it.

So this arrived on friday





Got my work cut out here.
I wont be putting updates up on a regular basis as I have a good few months to get this van done. So it is being fitted in around other customers vans/vehicles I have in, but I will update.

Afraid not, that roof has got to go back on.

Its going to take a lot of measing and trial fitting to get all the windows the right size. I have the cab doors, sliding door and tailgate which will all help with the process.

thanks, but I have to ask, why???????? would it not be easyer and cheaper to just buy an old T3 with the roof attached or is this vehicle a rare model

Does it have a factory sliding sunroof, or is that just a massive hole?

I know this is the second van he has had (first one was beyond repair so I understand)
So I can see why he wouldn't want to buy a 3rd vehicle.

Well after chatting to mark and finding the extent of other problems he didn't realise he had he has decided to cut his losses and get rid.
If it was just the roof to be refitted it would have been ok, but after adding up all the extras I found when I looked around it became uneconomical.
