I have a Caravelle which apparantly has a factory fitted sunroof????? The handle has been replaced by the previous owner and does not work correctly.
1. Can anyone advise me if this is in fact "Factory Fitted" or just an addition
2. If a replacement handle is available
3. What it would look like (The Handle)?
Thanks Guys
Jason

Re: Original Sunroof?
That doesn't look factory as the factory roof has drain pipes going into and down the pillars
but if it is genuine the reason the handle hasn't been changed for genuine is cos 701 877 453 4YX has the mechanism in it and is over £100 from VW
the only way to know if the van was originally fitted with a sunroof is to check the m codes on the white paper sticker under the steering wheel at knee height on the body or in the first page of the original service record book - the number for glass sunroof is 588
I've never seen a factory one up close but I'd be surprised if the glass didn't have securit etched on it same as the rest of the glass

Re: Original Sunroof?
The handle on mine is different.
I'll get my other half to take a loko when he is in the garage next as he has the van for welding at the moment
