JX Diesel manual alternative?

Post by Blaizefed »

So the Haynes and the BEntley are both based on the US models and don't cover the JX diesel. Anyone know what other model VW has the same engine or one that is close enough? I have the head off my bus and will be refitting it this weekend and while I am comfortable putting it all together, and I have the timing tools to set up the pump, I do not have the torque specs for the head bolts and I don't have the procedure to set the pump timing. So is there another Haynes manual that covers this? Or a link to a website that spells it all out? I have been looking for either for a couple of weeks now with no luck and I am now getting close to really needing the info. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, this manual here has the torques and procedures:
http://www.justkampers.com/shop/t25/acc ... 10839.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Not a bad manual, could be a bit clearer or better laid out in some parts, but it's done the job for me!

I think i saw a link to the Bentley manual somewhere at some point, can't remember - maybe someone else knows...

I've been using a Golf & Jetta Diesel 78-84 Haynes manual for my JX, it hasn't steered me wrong - yet :mrgreen:
