T25 Brakes advice needed

Post by VWGeoff »

Hi I`ve just finished my AAZ conversion. My question is does the servo, serve the clutch and brakes? as when my engine is running or not, my brakes seem to be not getting any softer on the pedal when engine is started? Is that the norm? Or is it due to brakes needing a bleed after I already changed the front offside caliper. Thanks :?

When you say 'servo' do you mean the resevoir? if so yes.

As far as i know clutches don't have servo's but i could be wrong.

As you have said pedal should 'dip' once engine starts, on petrol vans there's a hose from the manifold i guess diesels are the same, is this connected ok?

Diesels have a vacuum pump, have you checked it and have you got the non return valve the right way around?
