Help please, need a dimension 1.9dg

Post by christofy »

I need the dimension of the flexi pre heat pipe that goes from the exhaust to the air box as mine is split. Only reason for asking is I am offshore and forgot to measure it before I left want to order it for when I get back as leaving for France 5 days later

I think it was about 50mm internal but have no idea on length

Help will be much appreciated

Thanks
Chris

I will measure mine for you tomorrow, but worth mentioning that is is very unimportant, especially in the Summer, even more so a French Summer (warmer) because it is only there to stop the carb icing up in very cold weather. And even then, on our vans, this warm air feed to the air box is not needed even in winter. Our TinTop has never had one fitted, though our Hi-top does have one.
Got a new van, but it's a 165bhp T4 [shock horror] Accurate LPG Station map here

That would be great thanks.

reason i want to fix is because first 5 mins from cold if I give her a fair bit of throttle she seems to lose power a bit (like I have let of the throttle I spose) but when warm is very smooth and pulls smooth. maybe it is the vac pump or choke. Mot bloke did say she was running a bit weak on the fuel mix but only very slightly and nothing to bother messing with and like I say absolutely fine when warm so just thought I would start there.
