Exhaust gas probe for Aircooled.

Post by geordie skydiver »

Where can I get a exhaust gas probe for fitting LPG into my 1980 A/C Westy? The probe that takes exhaust gas to heat the reducer and vapourise the LPG?

I've had a fairly good look around and not seen any for sale.

Any ideas?

Edited to be clearer!

I have no idea what you're on about, but then I am as thick as the proverbial planks sometimes. Do you mean an adapter for an existing tank? if so speak to Steve at gassure, he's a member on here and is the guru of all things gas.

A watercooled engine with LPG uses hot coolant to vapourise the LPG.

Obviously a A/C engine doesn't have this, so they use a probe to take off some exhaust gas to the reducer, to heat the gas.

Steve at Gasure will have one. He fitted one in my exhaust when converting me to LPG. Did you not rescue the one from your old exhaust?
