Exhaust for 1600 Air-Cooled

Post by bokobillycamper »

Jeez, van has been at garage for nearly 3 weeks now and still waiting for some exhaust parts to be swapped (from VW Heritage).

At MOT time last November we were warned the exhaust was on the way out - wish we had started getting parts together then.

The garage has some older fitters who have done VWs for decades so I can't work out what has gone wrong.

Don't know what the moral of this is - perhaps things are not so bad for people who live near a parts supplier.

Pete.

CT exhaust parts can be hard to find and eye-wateringly expensive.

Not cheap are they?

Too late now, but worth knowing for future reference, SK appear to have acquired the entire stock of early T25 parts from VW France some time in the 1990s and are worth looking at for CT parts that can't be found elsewhere. They are NOT cheap though!
