Well thats it I have had it with my camper. To cut a long story short I have spent a fortune as you do over the past 12 months getting him ship shape to use for holidays. I have had him for 6 years and to be honest has proved very reliable..however Due to a valve seat pulling I made the decision to have both heads overhauled.
All went well I did not skimp on anything. All high quality products were used..german were I could get them and oem if available. He was fitted with a new Webber progressive along with an electric fuel pump.
The van runs sweet apart from an occasional tap which has now become a tap/metallic sound (Big end ?).
I though perhaps it was a sticking lifter on pot 3 as thats were the sound comes from..so I had kept the old lifters which had been taken out..I popped two back in on pot 3 but its still the same.
The only other thing it could be but im not convinced is a flattened adjusting screw. Its not rounded like the rest..is it this do u think ?

Anyhow I was supposed to be going to fort william on Sunday in him...and it wont be happening in this thing will it..
Good job I can use the driveaway awning as a tent and use my Espace to get us their.

To be honest If we dont use him for Scotland then it will be on Ebay when I return..I mean that..
I will be leaving the VW scene and buying another Caravan.
You cannot believe the Anger/frustration I feel at the moment....
Glenn.
