Does anyone know if all T25 speedos are interchangeable?
Mine says MPH 805.
It would be handy to change over to a KM speedo seeing as we are using kms in Ireland and my old speedo is broken anyway.
I know where I can get a T25 speedo in KMs; it says KM 500 on it. Would it fit?

Re: Are speedometers interchangeable?
Well I'm sure if you posted up 'a swap' you would be inundated with offers as lots of owners of German imported vans want just the oposite..KMH to MPH.
When I got my 89 California I swapped from KMH to MPH and I'm spretty sure (although not 100% certain) that the codes, mine was also 805, were the same.
I really don't want to give you duff info but as I understand it the code refers to revolutions/turns of the wheel either per mile or KM ....I'm sure someone will be able to give a better answer than mine.
As far as fitting goes there are quite a few variants including two different types of cable fittings so you might be out of luck.

Yes 805 is the wheel revolutions per mile or 500 revolutions per Km

And as 1 KM is approximately 5/8ths of a mile they could be the same..??

Re: Are speedometers interchangeable?
Well spotted!
According to an online converter, 500 miles = 804.67 km
So I take it that the answer is yes, they are interchangeable. Thanks!
