Coolant top up tank level

2nd day in a row that I've checked the coolant level in the top up tank (behind number plate) & 2nd day in a row that the level is WAY too high.

Yesterday I let some coolant out so the level was on max. Drove about 150 miles all seemed ok, but its back up nearly to top this morning. Let it out again, will see what happens.

Anyone got any ideas?

Try to let ut out again as you say y leave it between min and max and then drive and check...

Been out in her all day, seems fine. No overheating & no white smoke (someone said it might be head gasket). Will check again tomorrow

I would check the other tank before driving anywhere, if that 1 isn't full you could have other problems.

I guess you mean the expansion tank.
I'll check tomorrow morning. Surely if there was no water in there then the coolant level warning light would come on?
