Lesuire Battery under drivers seat

Post by andyb »

Wonder why go to all the expense and hassle of sourcing batteries 175mm high.
Quite a simple mod to my van

Can fit a 100ah 230mm tall marine lesuire battery in no problem.

Simple fabrication using a bit of sheet steel, some welding, reroute fuel tank breathers.

Theres plenty of space under - the tyre would have to take out the fuel filler pipe before it got near this extra bit of battery box so Im not worried about that.
Yeah it would have been easier to put battery under rock n roll or in a cupboard - and tbh that was what I was thinking I was gonna do - was my brother got a bee in his bonnet over it when we were in garage and this was the result - amused me no end. Had to stop him short doin the same to the passenger side.
