I need to replace my washer bottle, as it has split. Has anyone fitted one of these electric bottles?

They say it is more reliable than the original, due to not having to pressurise the system. Had no idea that you had to pressurise it in the first place.
any help would be most appreciated.

Re: Washer bottle
The original t3/t25 bottle is not pressurised.I think they are referring to bays.Personally i would stick with the original type.

Re: Washer bottle
Unless my setup differs from original German design, I would say that bloke is talking tosh! I have a water reservoir in the front footwell, a pump higher up the front panel and some washer jets - nought else. The only thing I can assume he is refering to is there is usually a one way valve which, if it fails, lets the water run back to the reservoir. The system will then take a while to reprime itself. Certainly no pressurisation taking place.
A further downside of the 'new' design is that you would need to find somewhere else to mount the bottle. Replacement of the original is far easier.

Re: Washer bottle
Also......from memory the bottle is two piece and the joint between the neck and bottle often leak....are you sure yours is split as leaks (if it is the joint) are easily fixed with dumb dumb or other flexible putty.

Re: Washer bottle
Brickwerks usually sell both of the rubber seals on the washer bottle but I can only see one listed at the moment:
http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... gory_id=57" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
They must be out of stock for the larger one that Martin is referring to.
Looks like Heritage are sold out of them as well at the moment:
