Help, My engine has gone up the spout...

Whilst on my first day of my 2 week holiday i drove all the way to cornwall (5 hours driving) and i broke down. The rac came and told me my engine needs replacing as a con-rod has shot of of the box or something - A copper piece has come out the side of the engine.

Now i need to get it sorted. I have a 1987 T25 hi-top and it currently had a 1.6 diesel engine - not turbo. this was always a strain on the engine. so can anybody help me as im in a right pickle and do not even know what to do next as i cannot fit a engine myself.

Should i sell the camper as it is for as much as anyone is willing to pay and cut my losses or do i pay to get the work done?

I had a quote for a new engine at £1500. cannot find anywhere that will fit it for me if i got that.

Talk to Mercus Mercdoctor - he might be able to help you out with an engine and fitting.....
