Wild camping Isle of Man
Off to thile o man in a few weeks. Could anyone suggest a wild camp spot nearish Douglas (but quiet so not Bushey's car park) for the first night? Cheers.
Are we going on anything else?

You could try the Marine Drive, it has no through traffic.
Or the other end of the promenade(it'll be quiet as there's no bike racing).
You'll get away with an overnight.
Or at the bottom of the small road that leads down to Port Soderick.
There are campsites close to Douglas (couple of miles).
I'll ask my brother (a resident) if he knows of somewhere.

Thanks Titus. I had thought about Marine Drive but couldn't rememer if it had any 'parking' places on it. The others sound good so thanks again.
