Oxidating Headlights

Post by RCN »

Just back from a MOT for the car and the guy says the head light lenses are really cloudy and won't make the next MOT. Is there some sort of product that removes the cloudiness/oxidation from plastic lenses? Buying replacements are expensive and don't want to spend money if elbow grease will do

Toothpaste! Bloody great stuff for cleaning headlights. A damp kitchin towel and a good shot of T.paste, rub until your fingers cramp up, rinse and done. I can now see the bulbs, my hands and car smell minty fresh and no cavities. :D

my lights were 'milky' on the inside,I removed the lights from the van and used a thin stick covered in material and wiped most of it off, could not get into all the corners as I could not get the 'stick' to bend enough, made a big difference to the areas that were cleaned

Brasso !! if you will pardon the expression. Recommended for Perspex polishing.. p.s. Always use a BLUNT drill for drilling Perspex.
