new power flow exhaust

Post by stagg65 »

Hi all because i have a 1.9 diesel engine fitted in my bus now i realised that the standard vw exhaust doesn't exist .
So because the previous owner used the 1.6 exhaust it was restricting the flow plus looked poo.
Took myself to RSR of Redhill today and got a stainless steel exhaust made up and fitted, plus it sounds good tooImage

I think so you tend to have more power at top end revs.
The engine runs cooler now which has to be a good thing.

They welded two brackets to the box and then used one of the existing mounts.
They also used the original exhaust flange by grinding it down and then welding the new pipe on to it.
