Replacing AAZ pump o-ring on distribution block

Post by mm289 »

Got a leaking pump between the body and the o-ring

Anyone tried replacing this o-ring in situ or is it a lock the cam etc job and remove pump to do on the bench?

Cheers,

Hello,

I followed the following links for an AHU pump, which is obviously very different, but I think the same principles apply for the AAZ pump:

http://www.dieselgeek.com/TDI_Pump_Head ... s/1873.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

http://www.dieselgeek.com/v/install_gui ... cement.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Hope that helps

Ewen

Thanks Ewen, I found a similar walk through on vwdieselparts.com for an AAZ

Haven't tried it yet and undecided whether to take whole pump off (with all the faff that involves) and do all the seals at once.

Cheers,
